When I got to work today to cook the new menu, 
I found a sign of the divine next to my stash in the freezer.
I knew right then, it was going to be a good day.

Congratulations are in order!

It has been a joyous season around here and not just because of the holidays! We'd like to extend our warmest well wishes to Jill and Luke who dashed off to Hawaii and got hitched in December. And to Bri and Ryan for their engagement on New Years Eve. Then when it couldn't almost get any better, Lacey had a baby boy just this week! Speaking of babies, did you here that Carla and Greta are both pregnant? Happiness abounds!

Thanks again, Alan...may you rest in peace!

in Memoriam...

Alan Scott of OVENCRAFTERS passed away at the end of January 2009. We were lucky to have Alan here to help build our oven...we offered it as a workshop and had many hands who were anxious to work alongside this man, who for most of us, is the god of brick oven baking. I'm so proud that his efforts on our behalf have not been wasted...we use our oven every day! Time to build that big brick oven in the sky...
